Wearing Skirts in Winter

I don't care what Punxsutawney Phil has to say, it's really cold outside and I'm not holding out for an early spring, though I so dearly want one. These long winters usually pose a problem for skirt lovers, like myself. So how do you successfully wear skirts in the winter? I'm constantly trying to find ways to wear my skirts without freezing my legs off, and I think I've come up with some solutions.

This outfit focuses on the flattering silhouette of long coats that are cinched at the waist and full on the bottom, along with long, full skirts. It's important to stay warm while not losing the silhouette of a small waist. Try wearing a shirt that is easily tucked in and not bulky, and add warmth by using tights and leg warmers when wearing your shorter boots.

  1. I feel like cold weather is so much harder to get creative and expressive in than warm. You really do a good job of it with this outfit!
