Holiday Outfit: A Perfect Dress

A plaid dress is a great staple to have this time of the year. You can dress it up how I've done here with crystal jewelry, faux fur and an easy updo, or try wearing it with a chunky knit scarf, tall boots and a cardigan. Whichever way, it's a very usable piece that'll take you from fall to Christmas (and well after)!

I love that this isn't a maternity dress so I can continue to wear it over the years. I've actually purchased 3 different types of this cut dress from Asos, and they've transitioned through the different stages of pregnancy (from not showing, to showing but not "out", to unmistakably pregnant) while continuing to grow with me.

Maternity Style Tip: Use a belt to create a "waist" right above your belly, this will give you more of a shape and accentuate your bump nicely. Looser clothing tends to make you look bigger while hiding that gorgeous growing stomach that you should be wearing proudly!

  2. You look absolutely stunning! Gorgeous and I love the plaid with faux fur, not to mention the silhouette! My mother used to wear this kind of dress when she was pregnant and it wasnt so common in the 90's. But she wore them proudly showing her round belly and I must say it really looks sweet <3
